I feel as if she may be too close of a friend with Lorelei, vs. a mother daughter situation. This tends to make me view Rory as someone who may of had to grow up faster than most kids, in order to help her mom in their household. In this situation, Rory is very responsible and does a great job of taking care of her mother, especially emotionally.
